Hare Monastery

25
December 2012

After a first unsuccessful attempt the day before, the doors of this old monastery have finally opened.
Abandoned for nearly a decade, the vast set of buildings of the nineteenth century shouldn't know 2013.
Indeed, a permit to demolish has been issued recently by the municipality and it is unlikely that a miracle will occur, the park surrounding the building has already been completely shaved.
Although the weather has left its mark, the endless succession of cells, the long corridors and the church are in a still very satisfactory state. Obviously, either floor or ceiling just waiting to fall but other abandoned places in much worse condition have benefited from a second youth. This will not be the case here.

NB - Finally, a new project was born and the majority of the buildings were deeply renovated.
