After a first unsuccessful attempt the day before, the doors of this old monastery have finally opened.
Abandoned for nearly a decade, the vast set of buildings of the nineteenth century shouldn't know 2013.
Indeed, a permit to demolish has been issued recently by the municipality and it is unlikely that a miracle will occur,
the park surrounding the building has already been completely shaved.
Although the weather has left its mark, the endless succession of cells, the long corridors and the church are in a still
very satisfactory state. Obviously, either floor or ceiling just waiting to fall but other abandoned places in much worse
condition have benefited from a second youth. This will not be the case here.
NB - Finally, a new project was born and the majority of the buildings were deeply renovated.
The cold bluish light of a December morning.
The cloister.
Gradually, the colors come back.
The decapitated statue.
The kitchens.
A little cake with Dreft® ?
Saint Peter and Saint Matthew guarding the entrance of the cloister.
All tastes are in nature...
Sector very tired.
Uh... Hello... We're here to take pictures...
This is only a statue of Saint Christopher.
The chorus' room.
Same symbol as at Château R.
The organ's tribune, in the church.
Imposing, majestic and in perfect condition, but destined to disappear.
The nave from the altar.
The stalls of the choir.
Back to the cloister.
A real mess ! Farewell.
