Built in the late Middle Ages, the Château des Sœurs (“Sisters Farm”) is a large stoned group of buildings planted
in the middle of the Belgian countryside.
To house nuns during this time when unrest and violence were daily, the complex shows a fortified enclosure. Attached to the
farm, a ruined chapel with few tombstones and a small cemetery that everyone has forgotten about.
If renovations have been started to save this precious historical evidence, they are already obsolete as the site was fully abandoned.
What is its future ? No one knows...
Looking like a small fortress, the Château des Sœurs proudly dominates the surroundings.
What remains of the chapel.
The small cemetery.
Nothing lasts forever, not even memories.
One of the corner towers.
The courtyard.
Stables.
The beautiful and almost new roof-frame of the barn, and yet already degraded.
At the rear of the main building, unfortunately inaccessible.
Beautiful bricks vault.
Need water ?
Blind window.
Sinking...
Bye bye.
