Château d'Ah

It's not uncommon that castles have been converted into industrial premises or crafts. For entrepreneurs, this was a great advantage : no need to have to build a full set of new buildings, a castle being large enough to accommodate workshops and offices. In addition, the size of the field allowed extensions without too many difficulties.

This is what happened to the castle greeted us today. For proof, a long workshop built next to the mansion (fully empty and devastated), fluorescent lamps replacing the original chandeliers and stuff in several rooms.
Fortunately, these changes did not have too much impact on the painted or sculpted decoration of the castle. Thus, we can still admire the stylish lobby.

Abandoned after cessation of activity at the end of last decade, the site is dying slowly. Following the loss of its main customer, the small family business could not sustain itself and was forced to disappear, with all its know-how.
For the record, the main client was the Belgian institutional mess. Further evidence of the harmfulness of politics...
