Cellular phones seriously harms health. Fact or brainwashing, I don't know. Still, the installation of a base transceiver station seems
to have caused the definitive doom of the church seen today.
During the visit of the high parts of the church, it was by chance that I discovered that I ventured in a hazardous environment.
Indeed, it's looking next to me, taking pictures of bells, I noticed that the beam supporting the pattern (vertical beam making
the entire height of the boom and on which rests all its weight) was detached from the wall in which it was supposed to be fixed.
In other words, if I had been a higher floor, I'm not sure I'd come out alive. Therefore, the weight of the BTS installed at the
top of the arrow had to play an important role in these impairments. Moreover, the said installation was abandoned and (very)
partially disassembled, but too late.
This speaks volumes about the skill of the installer... Load calculations don't be undertaken before mounting such loads on
structures of another age ?
Another source of worry for the future of the building : a beautiful crack and a landslip under the choir. All these elements
suggest that the church has no future. Yet it still has a very satisfactory condition.
The furniture, liturgical objects, vestments of the priest, chairs for the faithful, organ, everything is there. It lacks the s
acramental wine (too bad...) and sacramental bread. So many reasons to keep this place almost untouched jealously secret,
especially in view of current and disastrous urban exploration trends.
Built in the early 20th century, the church is Romanesque Revival style.
Almost all of the windows are still intact...
... as furniture.
"Blessed are those who listen to the word of God and observe it."
Let's take a little height.
In difficult conditions, some views of bells.
Four in number, they are clean and in good condition.
Like an idiot, I forgot the wide angle down...
A freehand and suspended over the void, difficult to capture the details of these beautiful bells.
The beam supporting the punch of the tower. If it breaks, the entire spire collapses.
As you can see, the condition isn't the best...
A tiny part of the clock. The rest of the mechanics are in complete darkness (I also forgot the lamp down...).
Back to "security".
The beautiful apse with its arch cul-de-four.
Remains to find faithful to fill those few chairs... Goodbye !
